The Builders for Christ Mission Team is a team consisting of Elders and teams from churches all over the East Coast. The mission of Builders for Christ is to assist churches in building new buildings or additions. Builders seeks to help churches construct buildings for reaching the surrounding communities as well as keeping costs down for the recipient church. The team is full of volunteers of various construction skills from master builder to those who have never lifted a tool. It is a great experience for the whole family.
Builders for Christ is usually involved in the following: drywall, framing, setting the steeple, siding installation, insulating, and building the stage among other things. There are also teams for meal provision, praying, VBS for little children, and the snack team (Frozen grapes are a favorite).

God has provided us a building project to work on this June! Hope Chapel in Sterling, Massachusetts, is building a new 17,000 sq ft sanctuary to house their growing congregation. Above is a picture of the current building as well as a rendering of the new one. This area of the country has very few Southern Baptist churches and is one of the most unchurched areas of the United States. Sometimes we underestimate God’s infinite wisdom, and he is sending us exactly where he wants us to go.
We are mindful of the registration fees submitted and the plane tickets purchased, and we are diligently working to see if God has another church near the area that is available during the same dates. We will send out another email by next weekend to update everyone, so please be patient until then. We will send out more information as we get it.

Where: Sterling, Massachusetts
What: Framing, building a portico, framing the basement area, and many other miscellaneous tasks.
Cost: $150 for adults, $65 if in 8th grade prior year or younger (The registration fee covers most meals, t-shirt, and insurance.)
