Ways to Serve

Preschool and Extended Session


This ministry takes place on Sunday mornings and during special occasions. 

Preschool and Extended Session provides Bible stories and activities for preschool age children (Newborn through 5 year old).

Facilities are up-to-date and cleaned weekly to better protect the children and those serving in this ministry.



Children's Ministry


The Children's Ministry provides many opportunities for children to hear about Jesus, grow in their faith, and also have some fun.


The Children's Ministry needs help in the following areas:

AWANA (Listen to children recite verses, recreation)

Children's Church Leader (This group meets during the 11:00 AM worship service on Sundays),

Chaperones for events

Teen Ministry (6th-12th Grade)


The Youth Ministry strives to help Teens KNOW God, FOLLOW Him in faith, and to SHINE for Him in their world.


There are many opportunities for you to connect with and invest in Teens through this ministry.

The Teen Ministry needs help in the following areas:  Bible Study Teacher/Small Group Leader,


Recreation Leader

The Worship Team is responsible for the musical an technical aspects of the worship service and special events.

The Worship Team need help in the following areas:

Praise Team - Vocalists; Substitute Instrumentalists

Sound/AV Team Members - Responsible for sound, lighting, and media presentations

Livestream Team - Responsible for streaming services and events to the internet

Opportunities to Serve

Elders Baptist Church has many opportunities for you to serve within the church.  From being a Greeter to teaching a Bible class to building the Website, you can jump in and help Elders carry out their mission.

Food Pantry

Elders Baptist provides a food pantry for the community every two weeks on Thursday.  We are in need of people to help stock shelves, organize shelving units, help people, and clean-up.

Operation Christmas Child

Elders Baptist serves as a Collection Point for Operation Christmas Child.  November 15-22, 2021, we will be receiving shoeboxes from all over Carroll, Howard, and part of Baltimore County.  We will need people to help unload, count, pack up, and load the shoeboxes.

VBS Volunteers help in a variety of ways, including teaching, leading/helping in the various sessions (crafts, music, etc.), and helping with administrative tasks.
